I hate the Rangers. Straight up. I hate that team, but that doesn't change the fact that the loss of their top prospect, Alexei Cherepanov, is devastating. He was only 19 years old when he collapsed after a line change while playing for his current Russian team. Apparently he has some kind of disorder that causes blood to not get to organs, especially the heart, fast enough. There's a big hubbub about it because there were no paramedics at the rink already, which I believe is a requirement for all NHL stadiums, and most other professional leagues. The video below is not a dead man, he was unconscious, but not dead yet in this video. The last person he talked to on this planet was Jaromir Jagr, who you can see #68 in the video, just before he collapsed. I hate shit like this. It's basically unavoidable. He had this condition that he knew about. It's just really, really sad...
